The site was originally known as BriteTec Books, part of the company BriteTec Ltd. Established as an Internet bookshop in 1998, we specialised in selling non-fiction titles, and particularly those in the field of engineering. Many more books and categories have been added since that time and we now cater for most areas of non-fiction titles -and a few fiction books as well. Still under the umbrella of the parent company BriteTec Ltd, the site has been completely designed and renamed Good Used Books, which we feel is an appropriate name.
The books we sell, were chosen because we felt they had much to offer prospective customers. We are always on the lookout for new titles, this has been our agreeable task for over eight years now.
We base our prices on the actual information content of each book, but we keep these prices within a sensible framework. Our shipping prices are based on the actual weight of the order. A small packing charge is included in the book price. We aim to offer you the customer the most reasonable terms based on current postal charges.
Our website is integrated with WorldPay, which offers processing facilities to Visa, MasterCard, Solo and JCB cardholders. We also accept PayPal transactions, and will accept cheques provided they are drawn from accounts based in the United Kingdom.
